Raised in New Jersey, Nicholas Bredimus examined software, airlines, and hospitality together and forever changed all three trades. His CV covers time-saving computer programs, air safety improvements, and he’s even involved in designing high-value houses. You could have foreseen, of course, that with his family history he was a sure bet to rise to the top. Traceable all the way to classical times, in fact Nicholas’ family tree can be linked to several different nations within Europe. On his mother’s branch, on the one hand, he boasts Scottish and German lines. The paternal line, however, originally comes from England and Luxembourg, where they eventually came to America from toward the end of the 1800s. After arrival in America, they still worked hard to make their way up the social ladder. Nicholas, who would grow up with his two brothers and four sisters, was born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his spouse, a practicing nurse. Mr Bredimus would live in Texas for a number of years and also spent time in Scottsdale, AZ, Kansas City, MO and Reston, VA.

And what, you may ask, did he do to capitalize on his heritage and studies? He would swiftly embark on a series of respected jobs, all working for huge airlines. Among these was included the position of vice president for Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest, and even Republic Airlines. Even taking that into account, however, the airline industry has felt the need to thank him, above all, for services in the realm of computer programming.

Nicholas Bredimus is easily most renowned for the airplane maintenance system he designed for US Airways, which would rapidly become the “old reliable” for much of the industry. He would next examine recording and taking reservations. For both hotels and air travel he designed software to handle much of the work necessary before that point. Afterwards he published QuikTix, an online, networked system for ticket ordering which was an industry first.

He employed these successes to advance into positions which weren’t obviously connected to software design. Key roles with American Express and American Airlines were to come, and of course he started up a firm of his own in the early nineties.

Though he has stepped back from the businesses in which he first tasted fame, his skills are, regardless, still very much in use. To answer the obvious question, he designs and builds top quality houses deploying all of the newest environmentally friendly and smart technology out there.
